HOW TO GET HERE

Please note that Weddings in the Wood is set within the grounds of a private estate, and only accept visitors by appointment.

Being nestled within woodlands, we are far from the hustle and bustle of modern life, hence we are quite tricky to find. Unfortunately sat navs are not reliable, they take guests to the wrong part of the estate, and no one wants to miss your wedding! So please use the directions below:

❊approaching from the north east (Southampton) on the M27

follow the M27 to its end, when it become the A31. Remain on the A31 as it climbs a hill and bear right. Go past the turning for Minstead and the garage/Travellodge services on your left. Take the next left, sign posted Emery Down. Stay on this forest road for about 2km. Ignore the signs to Minstead, going straighten at the crossroads. The road drops down for most of the journey. You will see a tall green hedge on the left and soon after this a gravel pull, with two gravel drive ways. if you get as far as a small culvert bridge with wooden side rails you have missed the turning. If you find yourself at the New Forest Inn, you have definitely missed us!

❊Approaching from the west on the a31 (ringwood)

Exit the A31 at Cadnam, just before it become the M27, go around the roundabout and back onto the A31 Westbound. Now follow directions for approaching from north east.

❊approaching from the south west on the A35 from the west (new milton/christchurch)

Just before the A35 enter Lyndhurst, after the 40mph sign, you will travel down a hill. On your right, you will see the White Swan Inn. Opposite the pub, on your left is a cricket ground and a sign posted to Emery Down. Stay on this road passing the church and the New Forest In. After about 1.5km along this road you will go over a small culvert bridge with wooden rails. Shortly afterwards turn right into a large gravelled pull in.

❊from the east, if you approach on the southampton road on the a35 from ashurst

Follow sign post towards Lyndhurst and Leamington. At the one way system at the bottom of Lyndhurst High Street all traffic turns left. The follow the directions from Lyndhurst approaching from the north east.

❊From the north east, if you arrive at lyndhurst on the romsey road a337 from cadnum

As you enter Lyndhurst all traffic turns right onto the High Street. At the bottom of the High Street turn right, towards Leamington. Then follow the directions from Lyndhurst approaching from the east.

On the one way system, keep right, taking the right fork signed towards lyndhurst. The road then forks again. Take the left hand fork directing to New Milton/Christchurch. At the T junction turn left away from lyndhurst. At the bend in the road, with the White Swan Inn on the left,a and the cricket ground on the right, take to right hand turning opposite the bub towards Emery Down, Stay on this road passing the church and the New Forest Inn. After 1.5km along this road you will eventually go over a small culvert bridge with wooden side rails. Shortly afterwards turn right into a large gravelled pull in.

You are now in the estate of Minstead Manor, marked as strictly private. Please respect the 10mph speed limit at all times. For the main New Forest Outdoor Centre (the site of Weddings in the Wood) take the left hand gravel drive and drive over the cattle grid, past the gatehouse on the left and continue straight on, bearing right at all the forks. Follow the oak signpost marked Carpenters Barn/NFODC. You will see the barn and the carpark on your left. Well done you made it! Now time to celebrate!
